Reviews From our Customers
Customer says:
My cats didn't like the last flavor I got so I thought I would get chicken this time , their favorite flavor of food. But, they won't even eat it, my racoons don't even like it.
Customer says:
This stuff is great and it lasts forever. My cat is healthy and energetic with a beautiful shiney coat. I use the same brand for my dog as well. This is a good company. I get a real peace of mind knowing they are eating a quality source of food.
Customer says:
My cat I think has an allergy for everything. He was throwing up after every meal for probably a good first eight months of his life, even the vet couldnt figure it out. I think eventually narrowed it down to a poultry allergy and a grain allergy. A lot of cat food brands I would go through would always say fish, but would always have some type of grain or poultry product in the cat food. Somehow after around 8 months of searching, i finally came across this magical bag of food. Reading the ingredients I knew they had to be legit. He's been eating this food for around a year now and no throwing up since! Poor thing would literally would throw up after eating anything for the first eight months of his life and since this food no issues at all!
Customer says:
One of my cats is supposed to be on HSD c/d because he develops crystals, did some research and discovered that anything besides poultry and other unecessary ingredients will cause crystals to form. Love that I can keep them both healthy and happy without spending $180 a month on separate cat food for each.
Customer says:
I too experienced a much darker color than I've previously had from Petco, and reached out to Canidae customer Service. She was beyond helpful, and said yes, as they use only natural ingredients and no colorings batches can and do vary, but there has been NO change in the recipe or formula for their Limited Ingredient line of cat food. BUT....my vet disagrees, after spending about $1000 on diagnosis, only to find nothing was wrong with her internally, and his diagnosis is it is "likely a food issue, and " pet food manufacturers change suppliers and formulae constantly." I had tried an antibiotic and Pro Biotics, and she seemed much better. Then, I started feeding her this dark colored Canidae food and she got very sick again. We re-did the routine, did another 15 days of the antibiotic, kept with the Pro Biotic, and switched to a food that runs about $55 for 8 lbs. and I think she is cured! Without actual tests, we cannot conclusively say that Canidae's representation that there's no change in formulae is disingenuous, however all anecdotal signs point to a change which did not agree with my cat and apparently several others. The product was labeled "not returnable" so I'm stuck with about 30 lbs. of something that I would not even give away. Two stars is for the customer service gal's responsiveness. She may not know the truth, and she really tried to be helpful.
Customer says:
This food has helped my cat with urinary tract issues which is what I was hoping for with its limited natural ingredients. Only problem is the kibbles are shaped in tiny round balls - I have 2 cats and they both hate this type of kibble. They throw it all over the floor (and it rolls everywhere) looking for something different. They also beg for treats more often bcuz they're hungry. My cats like their kibble square. I hope Canidae is reading this.
