Customer says:
TL/DR: Great but VERY expensive cat food. Supply issues make it a hard pass if your cat isn't already addicted. Also be aware that chicken and cheese both tend to rate extremely high as allergens to cats (my vet was perplexed they even made this combo), so if your cat has food sensitivites, that is a reason for a hard pass on this particular flavor. The details: My cats are very picky. We were doing pretty well with Weruva, until Weruva decided to change the forumulation (and even texture) of the various foods with zero warning on the labels. Cats went from happily eating it to barely being willing to SNIFF it. They literally preferred to vomit from an empty belly. And to be honest, I couldn't blame them. I wound up tossing a fortune in food because I'd ordered cases not knowing of the change. Soooooo, I tried Almo Nature. Cats decided that they long term only liked the Chicken and Cheese flavor (one also ate the Salmon and Apple flavor for a while but is indifferent now), so it's been an exclusive food. I have NOT been happy with the teensy cans and their very premium price, but when the other option is throwing away bigger cans of food that barely get eaten, there IS no other option. The problem is that for the past several months it keeps going out of stock EVERYWHERE, or is only available from sellers charging insane markups on what are already ridiculously high prices for the amount of food you get. I got an email one morning from an online pet food store (not sure if I can name names) that this food was finally back in stock after WEEKS. I immediately placed an order...and somehow it was completely sold out again and they couldn't honor the order. My latest order on Amazon was also shorted, although I at least was able to get ONE case. I have geriatric cats (16 and 17 years old) with delicate tummies. Randomly swapping out their food is even worse for them than usual; you're always supposed to gradually introduce new foods to avoid stomach upsets. And I am not always succeeding in keeping it in stock, because the tiny cans don't go far, and I'm lucky if I can get delivery of even a partial order lately. Unless and until Almo gets their inventory issues under control, I wouldn't risk introducing your cat to the Almo Complete Chicken and Cheese, or the Salmon and Apple (which also keeps going out of stock). Sure, I don't want or need the competition, but more importantly, I don't want you in my shoes. If your cat decides the food is IT for them, you are going to have perpetual supply issues - you (and your kitties) are going to be very unhappy campers.
Customer says:
My 2 years old cat hates wet food, once in a while he is willing to have a bit of something but only if it's a fish ugh... I tried all the brands that available out there and I've been throwing out tons of wet food. A few months ago friend of mine who lives in Europe messaged me about almo nature I looked for it in all the pet shops in my neighborhood and found it in only one.. My cat loves it! His favorite is chicken with green beans, chicken with duck and chicken with turkey and he is a cat that never touched any wet food but fish he also loves mackerel with sweet potatoes and salmon with apple, I can't speak about tuna because I don't give him tuna he eats fish a lot so at least I'm trying to avoid tuna. I love that almo nature adds veggies, besides that chicken is really soft and gravy smells good (my cat likes only in gravy), I checked ingredients and it's a really good food. The only minus there's little fat in it, small can is only about 60 calories so if you looking for lots of calories in small can almo nature is definitely not for you!
Customer says:
Had to review this new Almo flavor as my carnivore loving cat is so picky. I was very happy with a variety pack of Almo on Subscribe & Save. Then it was unavail & had to scurry to find a replacement. Heaven help me if she doesn't have her morning meats. The variety pack comes with 2 chicken breast varieties, one with pumpkin. And 2 light tuna, one with cheese. The cheese one has virtually no liquid. I have to save broth from the plain chicken to get her to touch the tuna/cheese. She loves the chicken/pumpkin so was going to get that but, it was double in price. That's when the tuna/pumpkin popped up so gave it a shot. I expected it to be a broth with pumpkin bits like the chicken. It's light tuna with more a pumpkin puree that makes a thick gravy. Completely cat approved even out of the fridge. Just have to break up the whole chunks into bite sized bits. It's amazing how quickly a feral cat will adapt to domestic life. Or should I say, how quickly a cat will make her owner adapt to her preferences. Ahhh, cat life. Doesn't get any better.
Customer says:
The feeding instructions for this food are way off. It says to feed 1 can + 1.40 oz per 4kg weight. There are only 62.3 calories per can, so the math comes out to 111 calories a day for my 10 lb cat. Ask any vet what a 10 lb cat should be eating and they’ll tell you at least 200 calories! I bought this food for my extremely skinny and picky 14 year old cat who’s been losing weight. All of her tests came back normal, so my thought is she just needed a tastier food with less junk in it to irritate her tummy in her old age. I had first transitioned her to a different veterinary diet specifically for cats to help them gain weight, but she would only eat half the serving and I ended up throwing out the other half every day. She will actually eat this food, but requires 4 cans a day. This is roughly twice the feeding guidelines on the label, but in line with what vets say is the actual daily caloric need for a cat of her size. My guess is the company is lying about how much you’ll need to properly feed your cat to make it seem like you’re getting more bang for your buck. The truth is this is a very expensive food, even when you think you only need what the label says. For the health and well-being of cats I hope they rethink this strategy. You will need to feed nearly double what they say you’ll need if you want your cat to maintain its current weight.

My cat is very smart and picky. She only eat almo nature can food. We see so much difference in her coat of fur. Other brands may contain unwanted ingredients, she won’t eat them at all.
