What is the best food to feed my cat?

Meat. Cats are meat eaters, plain and simple. They have to have protein from meat for a strong heart, good vision, and a healthy reproductive system. Cooked beef, chicken, turkey, and small amounts of lean deli meats are a great way to give them that.Jan 16, 2022

Is it OK to feed cats dry food only?

"Dry food is fine as long as it is complete and balanced," says Dr. Kallfelz. Dry food may be less expensive than canned cat food and may stay fresher longer. How often should cats have dry food?

Reviews From our Customers
Customer says:
Have used Hills Science cat food for many years. Trying different varieties for 7+ year old cats. This one they both liked
Customer says:
it’s great that I can buy food in the band to keep my best friend alive. It’s nice and easy getting it on here. That’s probably because I’m a slug. I do get value for my money because he eats it, not quite as fast as the junk food style cat food. I believe this brand has a reputation for healthy cat food. I appreciate that. sturdy, I don’t know what that means in this context. I’ve asked my cat if he likes the flavor. The cat has not responded because he doesn’t speak English, but science diet is good.
Customer says:
Our cat is 11 years old. We picked him up at the SPCA during the pandemic. He was healthy, but his coat was a little rough. We gave him this food and his coat looks a lot better. He did gain a little weight on this food.
Customer says:
EDIT: OK, two bags of food later, I can still say that this food helped revive my old, skinny cat. However, I'm removing a star because she blew up like a balloon. She got OBESE before we'd even made it through the second bag of food. I finally decided to mix her food half and half with something that is less fattening. As I say, highly recommended if you don't mind your cat looking like Jabba The Hutt. I don't think I'm exaggerating to say that this food might have saved my cat's life. I have two older cats (13 years old) who've been fed Science Diet food for their entire lives. As they aged, I tried different varieties, and while one of them will eat anything, the other one had a terrible time with everything Science Diet made that was for cats her age. She would vomit multiple times a day, and over the course of the last year or so she lost a considerable amount of weight. It got to the point that when I tried to pet her, all I could feel was ribs and spine. I had kind of resigned myself to the fact that it just might be her time, so to speak. But then one day at the pet store I saw the Youthful Vitality variety for the first time, and decided to give it a shot. From that day she has stopped vomiting, and over the course of about a month has gained all of her weight back. Her coat is healthier, she seems in a better mood, and she has more energy. It's like I got my old cat from 5 or 6 years ago back! I cannot tell you how relieved I am to have found this food. I went from thinking my cat was about to die, to seeing her in the best shape she's been in for years. I don't know if she would have lived much longer without it. The pet store must have only had a small amount, because I can't find it there any more, but thankfully I can get it here. Thank you, Science Diet!
Customer says:
This is one of several foods we use for our 14 year old cat. She eats it and it should be good for her, but she hasn’t commented.
