Questions
What is the best food to feed my cat?

Meat. Cats are meat eaters, plain and simple. They have to have protein from meat for a strong heart, good vision, and a healthy reproductive system. Cooked beef, chicken, turkey, and small amounts of lean deli meats are a great way to give them that.Jan 16, 2022

Is it OK to feed cats dry food only?

"Dry food is fine as long as it is complete and balanced," says Dr. Kallfelz. Dry food may be less expensive than canned cat food and may stay fresher longer. Cats that eat only dry food need to be provided with lots of fresh water, especially if they are prone to developing urinary tract blockages.

How often should cats have dry food?

"From age six months to maturity, most cats will do well when fed two times a day." Once the cat becomes an adult, at about one year, feeding once or twice a day is appropriate in most cases. Senior cats, age seven and above, should maintain the same feeding regimen.

How often should you feed an indoor cat?

Cats should eat at least two meals each day, about 12 hours apart. But a breakfast, lunch, afternoon, dinner, and right before bed schedule is an equally great option. If more than 12 hours elapses between meals, the stomach can become hyperacidic causing nausea.

What can I feed my cat instead of cat food?

Many cats enjoy cooked grains with a smaller texture, like couscous, polenta and millet. Vegetables – Small amounts of finely cut, microwaved, steamed or boiled carrots, peas, green beans, broccoli, asparagus, pumpkin, squash and spinach are all okay to feed your cat on occasion.Apr 29, 2020

Reviews From our Customers
Customer says:
I have been in the process of switching from their old food to this new food, and this morning my boyfriend fed the cats (I usually do it) and he forgot to add the new food to the old food. Both cats finished eating and proceeded to meow and sit by their food bowls like "where's the rest of it???" xD I gave them a bit of this new food and they finally settled down. They definitely love it.
Customer says:
I'm constantly researching cat food products. I have been a 'cat mom' for all of my life, have owned dozens of cats, and the vast majority--in fact, I would say all of them, have been finicky eaters. They'll like something for a day or two, then they sniff-sniff, turn up their cute little noses and walk away without eating it. No so with this kibble. I have a number of cats, and several aging ones with health issues. They all love this kibble. I've been feeding it to them for over a half of a year now, and they never tire of it. I originally purchased it for my diabetic kitty -- who is in remission but still needs a diet food that won't flare up her blood sugar issue again. Nude Superfood meets that requirement. My twenty year old has a kidney condition now (of course!) and I mix some of this in with his blah-kidney kibble. He is eating more these days than he was when I fed him the kidney kibble alone. I believe the company who makes this brand of cat food is conscientious to the health needs of our pets. I trust this company. This company makes several different types of kibble. It's good to research those and decide which will be best for your kitty. I think your cat --or cats-- will enjoy the food as much as mine do.
Customer says:
Finding good, wholesome, and healthy food for my fur babies is very important to me and when I came across I and Love and you, I was pretty excited. It’s so hard to tell what is good cat food, everything has so many additives and whatnot, and information on what’s best Ian always clear. So this food seemed so straightforward, with its real, whole food ingredients, that I had to try it. My picky cats were not as enthusiastic as me, though. It has seemed that they tend to reject the less processed foods- like seriously kitties?!? Haha. But since I had purchased a 5lb the first time and was not about to just throw it away, so I started mixing it with another brand that I think is rather healthy and wholesome, though maybe a bit less than this one, to use up the bag. Well, by the end of the bag, one of my cats’ coat was so beautiful and soft and shinny, and I feel very certain it’s because of the food- it’s never been that radiant before. So I decided then that mixing this with the other brand was what I was going to keep doing. They still don’t like to eat this one alone, and we’re on our fourth bag now, but honestly, this system is working and I feel good about. I’ve got it at a 2 to 1 proportion of this to the other right now and that works for us, for now. I am very happy with this cat food and do plan to continue using it in long run.
Customer says:
Our 1 and a half yr old kitten that we've had for just 6 months has had daily, chronic, and constant digestive issues, using the bathroom often and her stool looked unhealthy, but thanks to this miracle bag of food, she is healthy! Both my cats seem to enjoy the taste, too, and I think it's been helping some minor skin issues for my other cat, too. I recommend this over other more pricey brands that tout "perfect digestion" that didn't work for my cats.
Customer says:
Good product that is healthy for your pets. You can trust this company - they truly care about animals. My cats (and dogs - I buy their dog food too) love the taste and eat it all without complaint. I live in Colorado and wanted to support a healthy dog/cat food company near me - the bits are heart shaped (another small thing they do to demonstrate their love for animals). It is a bit pricey for the amount you get, but the peace of mind I get with it, I feel like it is worth it - would love to pay less though if I could. My dogs have a sensitive stomach, so I purchase the lamb flavor for them, my cats don't care - they'll eat anything I put in front of them. I feel better knowing this is a product that does not have chemicals or bad ingredients that have been proven to cause pets harm. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to others and I purchase it regularly. This is an authentic review. I was not paid to write this or try their product.
Customer says:
A year ago our cat had begun to vomit frequently, to the point that she was no longer able to keep any food down. Our vet suggested it might be an allergic reaction she had developed to a popular brand typically available on supermarket shelves. She was treated with a steroid injection, but we were informed the treatment was only temporary and that the inflammation caused by the allergic reaction might well return in a few weeks. In an online search I found "I and love and you" & decided to try it, transitioning to the new food gradually as recommended. After a year she is still on this food, and the problem has not returned. Also, she seems to need to eat less of it. She just eats what she needs and has maintained a healthy weight without my having to manage her diet in any special way. This signals to me that she is getting good nutrition from this food without consuming "empty calories." It is somewhat more expensive than the grocery store food we had been using, but not a lot more. I have not found it on sale locally, but it is readily available online and ships free with Amazon Prime. Kitty is happy. So we are too.
