Questions
What is the best food to feed my cat?

Meat. Cats are meat eaters, plain and simple. They have to have protein from meat for a strong heart, good vision, and a healthy reproductive system. Cooked beef, chicken, turkey, and small amounts of lean deli meats are a great way to give them that.Jan 16, 2022

Is it OK to feed cats dry food only?

"Dry food is fine as long as it is complete and balanced," says Dr. Kallfelz. Dry food may be less expensive than canned cat food and may stay fresher longer. Cats that eat only dry food need to be provided with lots of fresh water, especially if they are prone to developing urinary tract blockages.

How often should cats have dry food?

"From age six months to maturity, most cats will do well when fed two times a day." Once the cat becomes an adult, at about one year, feeding once or twice a day is appropriate in most cases. Senior cats, age seven and above, should maintain the same feeding regimen.

How often should you feed an indoor cat?

Cats should eat at least two meals each day, about 12 hours apart. But a breakfast, lunch, afternoon, dinner, and right before bed schedule is an equally great option. If more than 12 hours elapses between meals, the stomach can become hyperacidic causing nausea.

What can I feed my cat instead of cat food?

Many cats enjoy cooked grains with a smaller texture, like couscous, polenta and millet. Vegetables – Small amounts of finely cut, microwaved, steamed or boiled carrots, peas, green beans, broccoli, asparagus, pumpkin, squash and spinach are all okay to feed your cat on occasion.Apr 29, 2020

Do they make Tender Vittles anymore?

Purina discontinued Tender Vittles in 2007 due to declining customer demand and low sales. Though semi-moist food is now the stuff of pet food nostalgia, there are still good options for those who want that soft-but-not-soupy consistency.

Why is there no soft cat food?

Manufacturers say the shortages are due to pandemic manufacturing shutdowns and a surge in pet adoptions. An employee with PetSmart told FOX 13 that a lot of the companies simply can't get the ingredients to make the canned foods. Others say the aluminum can shortage is to blame.Jan 5, 2022

What can I give my cat if I ran out of cat food?

Vegetables – Small amounts of finely cut, microwaved, steamed or boiled carrots, peas, green beans, broccoli, asparagus, pumpkin, squash and spinach are all okay to feed your cat on occasion. Fresh, frozen and canned varieties of these veggies are fine. Avoid corncobs, tomatoes and mushrooms.Apr 29, 2020

Reviews From our Customers
Customer says:
My kitty has been having diarrhea for a long time. We did an expensive vet visit with probiotics (that didn’t work after using it daily for over 10 days). Then 7 days of antibiotics. She had one normal poop a couple days after that round, then immediately started having diarrhea again multiple times a day. I tried several other expensive foods for sensitive stomachs and no change. Just a few days after switching to this food she seems cured. It’s been two weeks now and she is doing very well. So glad to have found this food.
Customer says:
Our 10 year old cat had chronic diarrhea, no thanks to her previous owner's 8 years of neglect. Even today, after I managed it with Hill's prescription food, she easily gets it again if I'm not careful with what I put in her bowl or if she manages to lay her paws on some human food. This limited what I dare feed her to her prescription dry food, which she isn't a big fan of, and the canned version of that, which she enjoys. All the food and treats from our local pet store give her diarrhea. Her response to this bag of deliciousness blows my expectations out of the water. I have never seen her so happy with her food, even when she has her wet food. I'm also pleasantly surprised to see that it has not given her any diarrhea, even though on the first day, she had three big handfuls of this. The one downside is that this bag is not resealable. But overall, the food itself exceeds my expectations in every aspect.
Customer says:
I have cats that have sensitive stomachs. I have cats that don’t eat the other brands of sensitive dry food. This food hit the Mark for both. It digests easily but still has enough flavor so the cats who ordinarily eat a rich dry food readily eat this one so I’m not juggling multiple dry cat food and seperating cats from each other’s food. Awesome price point too!
Customer says:
Siamese cat does not throw up when he eats this cat food. It's great for his tum tum
Customer says:
Our cats love it and we have 5 picky eaters
Customer says:
Unfortunately the pet didn’t like the product, not thing to do with Purina, my pet most likely doesn’t find the flavor satisfying 😞
