When should you stop feeding your cat wet food?

By three to four weeks, kittens can begin eating moistened dry kibble or wet food. Between six and eight weeks, kittens are fully weaned from their mother's milk and can eat dry or wet kitten food.

Is pate considered wet food for cats?

WET FOOD. Some veterinarians recommend feeding only wet, or canned, food. For most purposes, we recommend the paté food rather than the flaked food in gravy. Many cats will lick off the gravy and not eat the meat, which leaves them with incomplete nutrition full of thickeners and glutens.

How much pate should I feed my cat?

In general, you can feed an average-sized adult cat one 3-ounce can per 3 to 3½ pounds of body weight daily. You should adjust this amount depending on whether you also feed your cat dry kibble. Your veterinarian may also recommend feeding more or less wet food depending on your cat's weight, health and other factors.

How often should I feed my cat pate?

Is 6 oz of wet food enough for a cat?

Reviews From our Customers
Customer says:
My beautiful cat is 15, almost 16 years old. She's only become picky as she's aged. We've had Blue Buffalo, Wellness, Natural Balance, Stella & Chewy's, Instinct, Weruva, Sheba, & now Fancy Feast. We've been all over the pricing spectrum. So I was, well...my wallet moreso, relieved when she loved this initially. Now it seems we are back on the hunt for a brand she'll eat consistently. Whoo hoo! Open to suggestions. :)
Customer says:
My kitten just transitioned to adult FF turkey & giblets pate wet food. Just as she acclimated to the new food, there was a shortage of that particular product. I had to buy the "natural" version which was almost 30 cents a can more expensive than the product I was looking for. I was finally able to find the regular FF turkey pate - which I can afford. I'll mix the natural in with this so it doesn't go to waste but WOW it is expensive.
Customer says:
My female cat didn't care for this at all. She usually loves turkey but not this one. She is 10 years old so I thought I'd try this but this wasn't for her.
Customer says:
I have been buying this product for years. I buy this product from different Companies, and the same thing happens so that means it is Fancy Feast Company's fault. The color is dark brown and smells horrible. My cats got sick. Someone needs to make sure the ingredients are quality. The color and smell should not change unless rotten ingredients are being used. Fancy Feast needs to be closed down. The quality and ingredients need to be investigated. We the consumer pays for this product. I have reported this to Consumer Affairs. Cats are getting sick and or dying because of this product. This is animal abuse.
Customer says:
The price was great but can’t use it. My cat gets terrible constipation every time I feed this to him. He almost died because he stopped eating. Other cats can tolerate Fancy Feast but I don’t want it in my house.
