Questions
Is 2 cans a day enough for a cat?

can (Fancy Feast-size can) twice daily may work better. This amount is also cat-specific and often needs adjusting up or down. Feeding canned food seems to create the best balance between calories and feeling full, and the meal seems to tide the cat over better than a dry food meal.

How many 3 oz cans should I feed my cat?

If you're wondering, “how much wet food should I feed my cat?” check the can or consult your veterinarian for feeding recommendations. In general, you can feed an average-sized adult cat one 3-ounce can per 3 to 3½ pounds of body weight daily.

Is it OK to give cats canned food everyday?

Cats can and should eat wet food every day because it agrees with the feline digestive system better than dry or semi-moist food.

Can you feed a cat directly out of the can?

Never feed your cat from a can, ever!! Put your face in a can then try to eat and breathe at the same time-without a spoon or fork.

What is the best food for a ferret?

Raw meat is the best option, including whole prey. Ferrets can also eat kitten food, as it has a high meat protein content, baby food that's high in meat protein, and dried ferret food, that's high in meat protein. As an occasional treat, your ferret can also eat eggs.

What food do ferrets eat?

Ferrets are strict carnivores. In the wild they prey upon and eat whole animals that consist of raw meat, raw bones, other tissue and digested vegetable matter. They require a diet of meat/animal products that are typically high in protein and fat and low in carbohydrates and fibre.

What should a ferret eat daily?

The average ferret will eat 5-7% of its body weight on a daily basis - this is about 50-75 grams of food for a ferret weighing 1 kg. However, the quantity of food differs from animal to animal and according to life stage. Ferrets will require larger quantities during growth, gestation and reproduction.

What pet food can ferrets eat?

Ferrets enjoy strong meaty flavors, so a beef or lamb kibble is the best option. They will also eat a chicken-based kibble, but ferrets don't generally eat fish, so steer away from those varieties. If you can, try to choose kibble with a rounded shape.

Customer says:
I bought this product by case because of an excellent veterinary book, Veterinarians' Guide to Natural Remedies for cats, by Martin Zucker (available here also). When you read the Acknowledgement page, you will realize that there was a huge amount of input to the book from a huge number of vets and feline nutrition specialists. Most favor few commercial products. This was one of the few highly recommended by a large proportion of the contributors to the book. I have three cats. One of them is almost 18 and is suffering from kidney disease. His immune system is compromised, and he eats like a vacuum cleaner while gaining no weight. He disappeared for 8 months last year, and came back unexpectedly. Because he was in the wild, as it were, for so long he will eat recommended raw items like eggs and chopped organ meats. I did have my qualms, but but because of his voracious appetite and the vet recommendations, I am supplementing the Wysong with raw items and a few other carefully selected items from the Amazon subscription listings. It is not as easy to locate Wysong catfood, but it is worth it. This is the first catfood I have found that all three took an instant liking to. While I do not like "pate" products usually because of the gummy quality and the lack of visually identifiable ingredients, I am depending on the label notice of content and the fact that none of them usually will touch a ground-up product. I am totally satisfied at this point with the quality of the product. Then we come to the shipping. The first case delivered had every can dented, badly, at least once. Some of them were partially crushed top and bottom, as if the case had fallen from a height. Every single can. Amazon stood by their guarantee and sent me a replacement case, and I donated dented cans to a local feline rescue group who could examine them and use them before they spoiled. However, the second case had three cans dented. I did not report that because I have been trying to retain my reputation as an honest buyer, and I suspect that continuous complaints would damage that. However, Amazon needs to deal with the delivery service. So my high rating goes to this food. I would definitely subscribe to it if I had any guarantee it would arrive intact. I will wait a while, then order another case. If it is damaged, I am going to have to contact the manufacturer to see if there is a relatively local outlet. This cat food is worth the inconvenience and search.

Wysong still consistently delivering a quality product for my hound...
Customer says:
Pricey, but our two cats (16 yrs. and 18 yrs) love it. One of our cats developed a sensitivity to chicken, so I discovered just how difficult it is to find cat food without chicken. After two years of trial and error with various brands, we ended up with Wysong Epigen. We've tried all the Wysong Epigen varieties, and finally just order this one alone. The other flavors only seem to appeal to them when we mix in Wysong's Archetype pollock formula, but even that gets snubbed half the time. Wysong encourages you to rotate among the Epigen foods for dietary balance, but nothing seems to please our finicky cats like this one. For those that find this food too hard out of the fridge, try mashing water into the food with a fork. Softens right up and seems to make it palatable again.

My cats love the Epigen all flavors & are healthier now that they get Epigen onceca day.
Customer says:
Love the ingredients and my cat enjoys the treats they make. Unfortunately, she refuses to eat this wet food. Even if I mix it with her favorite food, she'll still refuse it!
Customer says:
I like big cans of cat food for the value and decreased waste. I spoon it into a tupperware and let them eat it gradually, refrigerating the unused portion. The problem with this cat food is that it gets too thick and hard when refrigerated. Once it gets to this point, the cats won't eat it. They will eat it just fine at room temperature, however. And I know I could try to heat it up before they eat, but I don't want to do that. I'll just stick to the other brand of food that I buy. Edit: I was able to entice the cats to eat it after adding some chicken broth to make it more liquidy. That's more effort than I'd like to go through just to feed them cat food though.
